About
Jake McGrath, from Birchall Lane.
Hertfordshire Garden Landscapes is Jake McGrath’s practice, based at The Garden Centre, Birchall Lane, Hertford. You speak to him at the start of a job, not to a call centre.
A job runs from the first consultation through the design and the build, and it finishes when the site is swept. That covers low maintenance garden design, hard and soft landscaping, grounds maintenance and tree surgery, for homes, commercial sites and public-sector clients across Hertfordshire.
Published work ranges from a paved alley and a side courtyard to whole back gardens and long drives. Earlier outdoor projects have included modest ponds and water features, rooftop gardens and corporate landscaping. Size and budget are part of the first conversation.
The practice works to a strict code of conduct. Tree work is led by health and safety, and the arborists hold current certificates. Client details are not shared, sold or passed on.
