Wendy Guilder’s back garden

A circular sitting patio in St Albans, with curved paths, stepping stones and a raised bed behind brick.

Before and after of a St Albans back garden, from building spoil to a circular patio, lawn and stepping stones.
Before and after. Photographs from the original Hertfordshire Garden Landscapes portfolio.

The St Albans garden was drawn as a place to sit. The patio has a circular feature for a table, curved paths, stepping stones in the lawn, and a raised bed behind a feature brick wall.

The earlier photograph shows lawn, a pile of timber and a house still waiting on its garden. The later one has the circle of paving in, ivy kept on the side wall, and pots brought up to the doors.

Service: Low maintenance garden design. Town: St Albans.
